Join the Board of Directors

Thank you for your interest in joining the Exhale Board of Directors!

Process:

Exhale Pro-Voice is an entirely volunteer- and donor-run organization; please note that our Board applications are received on a rolling basis as both time and need arise. Once your application has been received and reviewed, a Board Member will reach out directly regarding potential next steps.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Rachel Dyer, Board Chair.

Board Member Responsibilities:

As a volunteer-led organization, we have a working Board of Directors. We are seeking Board members who will serve a term of 2-years and will commit approximately ten hours a month. Board members will be required to attend Board meetings, which occur every month; respond regularly to Exhale Pro-Voice emails; join or lead sub-committees to support efforts such as technical assistance provision. Additionally, as an entirely donor-funded organization, all Board members are required to assist with fundraising efforts.

Types of Candidates We’re Seeking:

Exhale Pro-Voice aims to continuously and actively engage in anti-oppressive practice – both at organizational and individual levels. As such, we strive to uplift Board members who are subjected to marginalization and oppression, as well as those with a variety of life experiences. In particular, we work to center to expertise of people who have had several abortions; youth and older adults; Black, Native, and people of color; queer, trans, and gender diverse people; disabled people/people with disabilities; people of faith; immigrants, and people living in the Midwestern and Southern United States, as well as rural areas and Canada.
